International activities
Salpaus Further Education has established a vast network of foreign partners in many countries and in its international activities Salpaus
promotes
- international student mobility and exchange
teacher mobility and exchange - immigrant students’ teaching and learning
participation to EU funded education and development programmes VET (vocational education and training) - participation in Nordic-funded cooperation in developing VET
- expert consulting services in projects
- International skills competitions, e.g. WorldSkills Competition 2007 in Japan.
Salpaus is also active in the Baltic countries and North-West Russia providing expert consulting services in these countries as well as developing curriculum contents and delivery through international exchange of students and staff.
Other areas of European co-operation include benchmarking and quality management, increased pan-European working life compliance, developing verification methods for informal and nonformal learning, e-learning, entrepreneurship and media literacy. Salpaus is an EfVET member (European forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training).
