French Students Learn Sauna Building in Finland

French joinery students Medhi Paumand, Vincent Felice, Mathieu Roubinet, Laurent Aramendia and Lionel Gibert came to Salpaus Further Education Center from Bayonne, France.

They spent a month in Finland and had a chance to experience e.g. the lake Päijänne, the Lahti Ski Museum and an ice hockey game. Also their teachers Stéphane Bernard and Xavier Babarit travelled to Finland for a week.

The students attended to work safety training and took part in building a sauna.

”We have had a lot of fun. We would recommend this kind of exchange programme for everyone.”

Medhi, Vincent, Mathieu, Laurent and Lionel also got to know about Finnish construction training. At Salpaus, learning on a real-life building sites is an integral part of the training.

“In France we practice with smaller projects, you build houses during your studies”, said Vincent.
